Happy Birthday to the person I love just enough not to block…thank you for being you, no one I trust more to tell me my outfit looks bad. Hope today is as average as you are. I love you. @Alex and Jon
I remember filming this video last year hoping to capture a sweet little “get ready with us” moment. I never watched it back because I felt like a bad mom—MK was crying, and I kept blaming myself because what if she was overtired since I’m so bad at consistent bedtime, or what if I didn’t make sure she had enough water last night and then that made her have a bad dream and put her in a bad mood that morning or what if the moon was in retrograde… But I just watched it back and all I see is me giving her grace in that moment, and I’m learning to give it to myself too. A small reminder that love can sometimes look like listening, holding, and just being there.
