Read caption ⬇️ Of course this is an over generalization and not a rule. The main point is to emphasize the difference between tylenol and ibuprofen. If you have pain due to inflammation ibuprofen might be the better option for you. The most common cause of pain below the neck is myofascial which can have inflammation. However if you have history of stomach ulcer, kidney disease, heart attack or stroke tylenol will be better to avoid further long term side effects from ibuprofen. Tylenol when taken over 4,000mg per day can potentially cause liver disease. If you have any questions regarding which medication will have more benefit than risk for you please discuss with your Doctor. 🫡

Each are a risk factor for requiring a higher dose of anesthesia to get the same effect. Love when my patients are well informed and honest about their history 🫡. What was your experience with anesthesia?

Who else loves sleep? 😴 1. This is just an average and can vary. Generally if you fall asleep too quickly you may be sleep deprived and if it takes too long you might have sleep-onset insomnia. 2. This was researched and they found when you multitask more you increase the need for restorative sleep to recover from mental fatigue. There can also be hormonal factors for why women might require more sleep than men. 3. If you would like to remember your dreams you would have to wake up during the REM stage, wake up more slowly, and keep a dream journal. 4. This is even worse at 24 hours which is similar to a BAC of 0.10%. 5. This has been studied and what was found was lower doses of melatonin were actually more effective since this is closer to the normal physiological dosage we naturally secrete, which is around 0.3mg. 6. Don’t sleep on me

Supplements when taken correctly have value in improving health and decreasing medication requirement; discuss with your Doctor 🫡. Magnesium glycinate prior to bed has shown to help fall asleep faster Ashwaganda can help stabilize cortisol, which is your stress hormone Turmeric/ginger has anti inflammatory properties which can reduce pain Vitamin D will help absorb calcium, Vitamin K will help drive calcium to your bones Recent studies have shown those who took a multivitamin improved memory and slowed cognitive aging Do you take any of these supplements? 🤓

Another example of why it’s important to diagnose the underlying cause of pain. Unfortunately, many Women have voiced concern that their pain has not been taken seriously. I’m glad they are sharing their stories so we can learn from them, increase awareness, and hopefully bring change. I’ve joined @ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕗𝕪 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕂𝕖𝕣𝕣𝕪 to form the Womens health advocacy group to help advocate for Women’s pain 🫡. #womenshealth #womenspain

Thankful for 2024 🙏🏽 Reminder if you work in healthcare you can and should have a life outside of work 🙌🏽. When I first started practicing I was under the impression to be the best Doctor I would have to dedicate my whole life to work; but l quickly realized this leads to burnout and having a life outside of work makes me a better Doctor when I'm at work, since im less stressed and more present for my patients 🫡. Who else agrees?

Read caption ⬇️ There are different classes of pain medications. Depending on the cause of your pain you may benefit from one class over the other 🤓. It is important to discuss with your Doctor if you take these medications long term to make sure the benefit outweighs the risk, since all can have side effects when taken long term 💊. Make sure to follow for more in depth videos on pain medications 🫡. #chronicpain #chronicpainrelief #painmeds
