If you’ve lost your period it’s not okay or normal… Trust me I tried convincing myself of that for a long while (around 3 years ago) and was like nope it’s just me it’s healthy for me which is absolutely a load of rubbish…girlie your not healthy without a healthy cycle and that’s for 101 reasons not just to be able to have a baby it’s so much more 🫶🏻 But I’ve had a regular period for I wanna say 2 years straight now and yes I workout, yes I’m lean, but I rest, I eat well and I’m a healthy size for myself own body ✨ The 4 main reasons hate me or not for stating the obvious…. 1. You exercise to much! If you’ve lost your period and your still going to the gym or exercising daily there’s a problem there your body is over stressed and can’t take what your doing so it’s turning off essential functions! 2. You’re not a healthy weight…I don’t care if you like your body or wanna be skinny or lean or whatever no period likely means your body is unhappy! I gained 7kg or so from the place I ‘wanted’ to be and I couldn’t be happier for it (a healthy weight and body fat and distribution is very much individual and genetic so comparing to someone else has no relevance) 3. You don’t eat enough!!! You need enough fuel to function and tbh it’s not gonna be 1200 calories you need more and then exercise you gotta fuel what you do, recovery the lot sooo under eating can be the biggest factor! 4. You don’t rest enough…your body needs time to repair and recover and also to reduce the stress on it! wether you’ve lost your period or not rest days should be a non negotiable for us! as well as enough de stress time and good sleep it all impacts hormones! What I Eat in a Day…. to stay lean and healthy (year round and currently i am tracking cals and protein around 5 days a week the other 2 I’m not if im busy with social plans I just chose to have a balanced day) but here’s my day of eats and this is pretty standard for me on an average day! ✨banana pre workout & energy drink ✨oats with @myprotein cereal milk protein ✨layer protein bar (birthday cake is the best) ✨chicken sausages & salad ✨Yog bowl (1/2 tub apple skyr, strawbs, watermelon, dark chocolate) ✨prawn noodle stir fry (pretty simple it’s just garlic, ginger, chillies, soy sauce) ✨final Yog bowl (250g plain Greek yog, 25g salted caramel protein, berries, 2 pieces salted dark chocolate) alll protein is MyProtein and these are my fave flavours! Breaking diet rules all week did NOT change my body... Because they are NORMAL things to do when you have a normal balanced diet and a normal healthy relationship to food..you don't have to cut out foods or follow silly fad diets to look and feel your best and nor should you spend your days stressing over food and your body! Moral of the story is I do all theses things every week anyway, l've not changed anything, I eat to fuel, I eat food I enjoy, I have balance, I eat 'unhealthy' foods, some days I don't track calories and nothing happens because all foods can fit your daily needs and you can be flexible with balance if you keep it roughly in that 80/20 split.... its simple and not about making diets and exercise a chore but a sustainable lifestyle <3 If you need help with your nutrition and fitness goals pop me a DM and let's make a start in January xxx #GymTok #dietmyths #healthymeals #FoodTok #caloriecounting
