I spent 3 years building my mud home, and I have now lived in it for the past 2 years. I was not high income when I built it. I had nearly $0 on my bank account and learned how to build from scratch. I built during the day and worked at night to make it happen. I can never go back to living in a modern home. There are so many benefits of mud homes that we overlook because of stigmas. There are benefits for our health, the environment, and our wallet. Mud homes are very intelligent homes. They are built with natural materials and so they can interact with nature's elements in a smarter way. They are brilliant when it comes to heating and cooling, mold regulation, and even sound proofing. We no longer build this way because of companies profiting off of synthetic materials. we deserve to take back our right to sustainable affordable housing. #build #Home
