Jumping in on the trend of sharing some of my taste in books. My star rating system accounts for quality AND enjoyment. Some of those 3 star books are some of my favorite of all time because I can critique them and still love them. Generally, here is how I think of my ratings: ⭐️: No redeeming qualities, very poorly done, did not enjoy, would not recommend to anyone. ⭐️⭐️: More negative things to say than positive, maybe one or two good qualities, but mostly poorly done, I did not enjoy, would probably not recommend to anyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️: Balanced strengths and weaknesses, my enjoyment here varies wildly, would recommend with caveats ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: More positive things to say with maybe one or two weaknesses, but mostly well done. I enjoyed myself and would recommend to most people. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: If I have any critiques, they are small and did not detract from the quality or my enjoyment. I loved it and would highly recommend.
