I am shaking! So that just happened. 😳😭 DIANE WARREN, y’all. One of THE most prolific songwriters of our time. I never, ever would normally approach someone on the street of NYC. But, I saw her & someone else apparently took over my body and I asked: “Are you Diane Warren?” When she said “yes,” my entire body broke out in goosebumps. She was so lovely. She said songwriters aren’t usually recognized on the street. What?! She is Diane f-in Warren. SHE WROTE THE SOUNDTRACK TO OUR GEN X LIVES. Songs that carry so much meaning to us. ✨✨IF IT WASN’T FOR HER, THERE WOULD BE NO: “If I Could Turn Back Time” (Cher, 1989), “Look Away” (Chicago, 1988), “Because You Loved Me” (Celine Dion, 1996), “How Do I Live” (LeAnn Rimes, 1997), “When I See You Smile” (Bad English, 1989) and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” (Aerosmith, 1998) “I Get Weak” (Belinda Carlisle, 1988)— JUST TO NAME A FEW. I’m a former TV news producer… I’ve lived here long enough to see celebrities from time to time— but that just turned me into a puddle of MUSH. I am a mess 🤣 Drop your favorite Diane Warren song, if you can. Because that’s hard. There’s too many….
Btw Nancy telling us not to do drugs and Jermaine telling us not to take our clothes off— they were parenting us better than our parents were 🤣 #genx #over50 #80smusic
