i’m gonna admit: i was really scared before doing this test. i didn’t know how i would handle pushing myself to the max of my capacity, or if i would be able to at all. i wanted to cancel every single day, but i told myself what i always do when shit is tough: you can do hard things. you can handle being uncomfortable. you are in control and you decide when to stop. that, and the most amazing coach of all time Melina Magulas made me do it AND I COULDN’T BE MORE PROUD 😭🏃🏻♀️ not with the results, but with my effort - and that is ALL i can control 💪🏻 i can’t wait to improve the numbers and use everything i learned about my threshold and heart rate zones going forward: i might not be in the best running shape yet but trust me - i’ll get there 😎
my goal with my running journey is simply to improve as a runner, not weight loss, not “toning up”, not changing the way my body looks in any shape or form AND THAT’S OK! just because my tummy isn’t flat doesn’t mean my sole purpose with my training has to be changing that - I like my tummy the way it is🏃🏻♀️💨❤️
Falling in love with running wasn’t something I ever expected. For so long, I told myself it wasn’t for me, thinking I had to look a certain way to belong. But here I am, showing up, pushing myself, and proving that every body can do hard things. It’s not about how fast or far—it’s about the strength I’ve found in just trying. In November, I’m running my first half marathon, and no matter the outcome, I’m proud of the journey that brought me here. This is for the me who never thought it was possible 🩷
